Our current mechanisms for safeguarding performance are not good. We have some very old benchmarks (compiled with very old emscripten) that are running on CI, sometimes, maybe. We have some half-finished benchmark suites. We have a grab-bag of benchmarks of unknown quality from the internet where we are lagging the competition.
