RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1637746

People

(Reporter: maybeoneday+bugzilla, Unassigned)

Details

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Clear all browsing data.
  2. Reset everything under places.frecency in about:config
  3. Visit a big domain, e.g. google.com
  4. Open a new type and type "g"

Actual results:

Nothing comes up, have to type the entire thing no matter how many times I visit it.

But for whatever reason little (potentially malicious) sites like "googl.com" which I typed once by accident get remembered and autofilled every time I type "g" until I clear browsing data again.

Same with youtube.com vs youtub.com etc.

Even about:config and about:profiles won't get remembered.

Basically somehow everything I would want remembered doesn't get remembered, and everything I wouldn't want remembered, gets remembered.

Expected results:

Gets autofilled as soon as I type "g" (because that's one of the site I visit the most).

Ideally the less frequently visited stuff like "googl.com" and "youtub.com" gets less precedence.

Steps 1 and 2 probably need to be reversed, and step 4 should be "Open a new tab and type "g""
