User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:100.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/100.0
Steps to reproduce:
Normal browsing, usage; one thing which might have changed, was when I entered new filters in gmail for my mails (3 mail accounts are open all the time).
Actual results:
Starting the browser, everything works as expected, at one point (random), it stops opening pages, new tabs, reloading, etc. gmail account "hangs". Especially when using the home button. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, didnt help.
Expected results:
home button and other links and web page updates working and loading on click, not requiring restart work

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Cloud Services::Server: Firefox Accounts' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I uploaded a short video portraying the behaviour. "Sometimes" entering the full web page opens it, sometimes not, and home buttons stops working. I hope this helps.

Can you create a HTTP log:
https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/networking/http/logging.html
The log may contain private information, e.g. website visited, cookie. Please try to create a log without being logged into a website.
You can also send the log to necko@mozilla.com (email address of the Mozilla networking team)

funny story, since I cannot reproduce it all the time and it happens on my office PC, it happened a few times, after you asked for a log. So I prepared everything to record the log; the bug happened, I tried the home button, entering something in the search bar, nothing happen; then I started the logging, went back to my tab, tried again, and it went away :D
This occured 2-3 times today, and this is what I can report now; for me its not possible to send out the log, since I am logged to a certain amount of websites, it is my office PC and I don't have the time to play arround and force the bug.
I will try a few times to confirm, if the start of logging will remove the bug, perhaps this information can give you some hints.

Thank you for trying.
I will ask you for some more information to try to narrow down the issue:
Are you using a proxy or a VPN?
Can you go to about:config and search for "network.http.http3.enable_0rtt" and set it to false? If that still reproduces the hang can you set network.http.http3.enable too false.
Thank you, your help is appreciated.

No proxy, no VPN used. I tried setting both to false, true; still same issue.
I can still confirm that start of logging helps with the issue, but it remains a nuisance.

Hi, could you try to enable logging when Firefox starts? The instruction is here. When this happens, please try to visit a simple website (e.g. www.example.com) and then close Firefox.
Please make sure that rotate is set in MOZ_LOG
to avoid creating a huge log file. Thanks.

I set it up and will try, but, as I said, when the issue appears (not being able to refresh a page, or visit another page in the same tab, etc.), and I start logging, the problem "goes" away. So, I am not sure that the issue will occur if the logging is permanently running in the background. As I said, I will try, and we'll see if it happens again. Thanks for the hint.
so, it happend again, now I started the logging when it started. In the tab it happened I tried to open example.com, which worked and then I stoppped the logging. I hope you can find something.

The log file shows that there is a request to www.google.com
cancelled by a web extension.
Are you able to reproduce this with a new profile or with all web extensions disabled?

so, I was able to log it, with all extensions disabled. Before starting the log, I disabled the extensions, tried to visit google, didn't work. When I started logging, it opened google, then I visited example.com. Let's hope this will give you more clues.

This looks like bug 1768250.
Looks like related to 0rtt. I've seen a transaction restarted because of SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_ALERT
, but the retry attempts are all failed.

This could be fixed by bug 1770742.
Reporter, could you test again with the latest Firefox?
Thanks.

Hi Kershaw, I must say, that I didn't notice it happen, or I used the competitor's browser more often, but since you have mentioned it; I will actively try to use it like I did before, and the bug linked is mentioning Sophos, which I also have installed on my system. It all makes sense and I am glad that this was not just a particular thing only local for me :D
Thanks so much for you support, also for the other guys in the bug.
