User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:100.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/100.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create an html file with an internal css style sheet

  • browse to it with Firefox

  • select the content

  • In Thunderbird mail create an html email (shift + click on "write")

  • paste the content

Actual results:

The rich content is displayed in the email but without the styling.

Expected results:

The content should be displayed with the styling from the original html file, and how it was rendered in Firefox.

Note 1: when doing the same with Chromium, the styling is preserved when you paste in Thunderbird

Note 2: if you paste the rich content both from Firefox and Chromium in Thunderbird, then "Save As" "File", you can see that in the content from Chromium, you can see that the style was added inline in the table, but this does not happen for the content from Firefox.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Yes, looks like it's pointing to the same root issue.
I can add my files and explanations there too, they might be a bit easier to test than the one listed there.
