Thunderbird icon color button doesn't show default color

I'm using Thunderbird 102.0b2 under Windows 11Pro.
If you right click on a folder in the folder pane, select properties and then look at the "Icon Color" button in the general information tab it should display the current color (before you press it).
It does that if you changed the color. For example changing the default pink for a saved search folder to teal. However if you use the default color (or reset the color) it always shows a almost black color in the properties. For example the junk folder icon defaults to red. Yet the associated Icon Color button is almost black.
This minor cosmetic problem doesn't occur with 91.10.0.

I see this on Mac (beta) and Windows (daily).
I'm thinking this may be by design, that the base icon has the color assigned. But then, there also appears to be no way to reset it back to that base value after it has been changed.
