User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0

Steps to reproduce:

I use multiple spaces (virtual desktops) on my Mac. My firefox Windows are across multiple of these virtual desktops. For example my work profile Firefox is on Desktop 4 and my personal profile Firefox is on Desktop 5. Many time that I unlock my Mac the firefox windows will all go back to virtual desktop 1.

Steps to reproduce is simply unlocking my Mac. Some info about my setup which might be useful:

  • I am on a m1 Pro Macbook pro 14"
  • I am on MacOS version 12.3.1
  • In system preferences I have:
** Automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent used - no
** When switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application - yes
** Groups windows by application - no
** Displays have seperate spaces - yes
  • I have my mac plugged into two external monitors and have the laptop closed so I am not using the laptop screen
  • On my left hand monitor I have Desktop 4 with my work profile firefox and Desktop 5 with my personal profile firefox. On my right hand (primary) monitor I have Desktops 1, 2, and 3.

I was using this exact same setup on my previous intel Macbook pro and I was not seeing this issue. For what its worth I am also using Mozilla thunderbird and this is not having this issue either.

My issue sounds similar to this bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1642310 but happening under different circumstances

Actual results:

When unlocking my Mac all my Firefox windows usually move to virtual desktop 1.

Expected results:

WHen unlocking my Mac I expect all of my Firefox windows to be on the virtual desktop I left them before I locked my Mac
