This problem has been present since netscape 6.0: After viewing pdf mail attachments in the main mailer window, and returning to regular message reading, the character set is screwed up so that special characters belonging to the national character set (in my case זרוֶ״ֵ) become something entirely different, usually 2 or 3 accented or special characters. Viewing a message in a separate window (doubleclick from the message list) is not affected, the characters are still OK in this case. The PDF file viewed in acrobat must use the local language, otherwise the problem does not appear. The only way I have found to reset the problem is exit mozilla and start from scratch. The problem is 100% repeatable. Let me know if you need examples. rgds, Helge
