ssl/resources/content/contents.rdf can be removed since there are no longer any xul/js files that get packaged into pipnss.jar.

contents.rdf is now the only member of pipnss.jar, and only for non-XUL apps in that case. The rest of pipnss has moved into the locale. Does anyone care if we just kill pipnss.jar altogether?

You won't get very far. Using the old chrome registry, every locale package requires a content package, or it will fail.

How about getting rid of pipnss.jar and putting pipnss' content in comm.jar, from where it will be picked up for embed.jar?

Why can't you just pick up pipnss.jar -> embed.jar?

I can, but if there's no longer any reason to have a standalone pipnss.jar, why not kill it and put it in comm.jar? I need to make a change in embedding/config either way.
