We need to create on the client side Nimbus variables which themselves map to a list of preferences for the MR study.
browser.promo.pin.enabled=true will need a matching Nimbus variable landed in 106.

Does this need its own variable instead of using the onboarding one that could be used for message targeting with bug 1784101?

Notsure, this variable will be used to show/hide pin promo on about:privatebrowsing by toggling pref browser.promo.pin.enabled. If its easier to use single onboarding variable to show/hide new , existing onboarding, callout , aboutprivatebrowsing we can do that

How is the pref getting toggled? Is that for the holdback as I thought we weren't relying on pref flipping.
