When the extensions.unifiedExtensions.enabled
pref is set to true
, install popups are anchored to the unified extensions button (see Bug 1784292).
When we install a search engine (extension), two popups usually appear: the post-install popup anchored on the app menu button, and the override search confirmation popup anchored on the urlbar unless the pref mentioned above is set to true
.
With the pref enabled, both popups are anchored on buttons that are next to each other in the toolbar, which does not look great. I attached a screenshot in comment 1 vs existing behavior (with pref disabled) above.
