When reading a daily digest form of maillists, it turn this feature on at the signature sign of one message inside, then the Gray text continues to the end. Similar effects occur for italic text, but I don't know what make the program to change font to be italic. I hope that the program detect the end of the signature (the end of the message inside the digest) and stop the gray/italic text from there on. If it's not easy to detect the end of the signature, I wish the Mozilla preference give the option to disable "Gray text for signature" as a whole. (When it annoyes me too much, I read it in Document Source window, any way...) text, and Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get/Make a E-mail which is digest form, many E-mail messages bounded together, including at least one signature text with "-- " line inside, above another mail inside the same digest. 2. show it in Mozilla MailNews Actual Results: Signature text, and next message forward are all shown in lightgray text. Expected Results: Detect the end of "the signature", and set the font color normal. Or give a option to disable "signature in gray text" feature.

A signature in mail/news is _everything_ after -- (that is slash slash space newline on a separate line). Marking as invalid since mozilla does the right thing. If you want to turn of colour coding of signatures (yes, it is possible) search the web or ask for help in the newsgroups.

I still think this is invalid, but since there are another bugopen on this I will reopen and reresolve as a dupe.
