RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1759232

Details

Steps to reproduce:

I connected a 60HZ external display to MacBook Pro 14" (2021) with internal 120HZ

Actual results:

Firefox started rendering at 60FPS on internal MacBook display that works at 120HZ refresh rate

Expected results:

Firefox should have continued rendering at 120FPS. When disconnecting the external display, firefox works as usual and renders at 120 fps.

Brad, any idea if this is hardware-imposed limitation with Apple?

Markus, is this an expected outcome of how we handle Vsync?

Flags: needinfo?(bwerth) → needinfo?(mstange.moz)

It's "expected" if the primary monitor is a 60Hz monitor. Bug 1759232 was intended to fix it.
