User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:106.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/106.0

Steps to reproduce:

Hover over a link, and click and drag the link to anywhere within Firefox, then release the mouse button.

Actual results:

The cursor stays stuck on the grabby hand icon.

Expected results:

The cursor goes back to the regular icon.

I should mention that the cursor only stays stuck within the Firefox window. When I move my cursor outside of the Firefox window, it goes back to normal, and moving it back to the Firefox window changes it back to the grabby hand. The only way I've found to fix this is to restart Firefox.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Is it reproducible for you? I can't repro here... Is there any chance you could run mozregression to see what broke it on your setup? Something like:

$ pip3 install --user mozregression
$ mozregression --good 102 --bad 106

Alright, I ran mozregression. Here's the result of that:

I've saved the rest of the output. If you need that for some reason, I can share it.

You're welcome! Thanks for the help.

:stransky, since you are the author of the regressor, bug 1767460, could you take a look? Also, could you set the severity field?

I just realized that the user agent string is partly wrong. Firefox is actually running through Wayland and about:support->Window Protocol confirms that.
