User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021114
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021114
I fear a virus, but neither AVG 6.0 Free Edition or Norton Antivirus 2002 with
the latest virus definitions show an infection of my hard drive...I cannot
delete the email by any means...any ideas??
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch Mozilla
2.Enter my Software Security password for the Mail window
3.
Actual Results:
there is a new email with no subject, no sender and no message body, dated
12/31/69 at 7:00 AM. It is not forwardable, not deleteable, and a worry for me
because it has virus (worm) like characteristics..
Expected Results:
not shown this same email with no subject, sender or body
Which virus/worm like characteristics does it have? I think this is a whole lot
more innocent - a plain bug in mozilla mailnews:
Similar phenomena is mentioned in bug 32216 / bug 73565.
A "blank" message like you mention can also have same origin as bug 115316.
To delete it you could try "hack" the Inbox and add a proper header if you can
locate where the bogus entry is.
