Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a new window
  2. Click the "Firefox View" icon
  3. Click the close X on the only open tab

Actual results:

Dialog opens stating "Confirm before closing multiple tabs".

Expected results:

Window should have closed without any dialog.

The culprit seems to be the new "Firefox View" as the bug doesn't appear if I omit step 2. in the description above.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

FWIW I think the specific problem reported here (for newly opened windows) is probably even fixed in 107, as this was reported with 106 - bug 1784323 is fixed on 107 and later. But 107 still has the issue described in bug 1799393, which only happens if closing the window also quits Firefox (ie it is the last window) which is not the case in these steps.
