This works in Netscape 4.78 but the identical information doesn't seem to work in Mozilla. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Proxy 2. Check manual configuration 3. For http, type http://copy.its.yale.edu and port 8080 4. close the dialog and try to open http://www.reservoir.com Actual Results: It told me that it couldn't open the page. Expected Results: It should have directed me to the proxy login page, after which I would be redirected to the page I'd requested. I wonder if this is related to 150580, though the behavior I experience is more serious.

Can you try just typing in "copy.its.yale.edu" and leave out the "http://" part?

It's the http:// in what I'm typing that messes it up, as suggested by the developer. Just typing copy.its.yale.edu works.

Works for me.
