Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows 2002 Government Server Edition; en-US) Gecko2002111808 Build Identifier: 2002111808 Many people have filters setup which are designed to catch spam. I've got a mozdev project at http://spamslayer.mozdev.org that does just this. Unforetunately, when a message has an attachment, it's attachments are encoded (in whatever way) into ASCII text. This results in words such as "sex" being part of the ASCII encoded text. The filters look over the message, see "sex" (the word itself doesn't matter, but "sex" turns up a lot in my messages with attachments (and it's the ASCII text, not the graphics silly ;-), and filter the message. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Expected Results: I think Mozilla should have a per filter rule option to not apply the current filter rule on messages with attachments. BETTER YET, Mozilla should only scan the body area, not the encoded ASCII text which makes up the attachment.

Re-opened. Bug 105169 has to do with filtering attachments to folders and stuff. This bug is requesting a feature that allows you to tell Mail not to use individual filters on messages with attachments (on a per filter rule basis).
