I've got this problem on two machines, one running WinXP Pro and one running
Win2K Pro.
Downloading any file fails if the only mozilla window open is the download
window. Somehow the downloaded file is stored in a cash (why is it stored in a
cash in the first place, and not at the location it's saved to?). After the
download is finished, the file should be transfered to the correct location.
This fails. Probably because Mozilla is closed and restarted in the memory
(Mozilla runs in systray).
Downloading a file while an other mozilla window is open and stays open works
flawless.
Downloading the exact same file after the download 'failed' gets the file from
the cash to the correct location.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download a file (like
http://download.com.com/redir?pid=10169530&merid=64748&mfgid=64748<ype=dl_dlnow&lop=link&edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2085-10169530&ontId=2085&destUrl=%2F3001-2085-10169530.html)
2. After the download starts, close all other active mozilla windows
3. Wait for the download to complete
4. Restart Mozilla and download the exact same file
Actual Results:
Downloaded file is gone after step 3. After step 4 the file finally appears at
the correct location.
Expected Results:
After step 3, the downloaded file should be stored at the location I wanted it
to be saved to.
Mozilla is set to show every download in it's own process window.
