I am getting black or white tiles depending on if the phone is in dark or light mode. The problem tiles sometimes fix themselves on scroll. The screenshot was captured on Nightly a few days ago.

Your about:support looks truncated, could you try adding it as an attachment instead?

How frequently does this occur? Does it happen on any website?

This happens on longish browsing sessions around 5 - 15 minutes

So too infrequent to mozregression? Can you be reasonably confident which build ID you first saw it on? Does it occur on any website? Do the broken tiles appear when scrolling around or when switching to a tab (or either)? Is it always a tile in the left column of the screen or is the right column ever broken?

Could you enable gfx.webrender.gl-debug-message-print and gfx.webrender.gl-debug-message-critical-note. And then when it next occurs, if you're by a computer could you capture a logcat? And check the "Failure log" under about:support to see if it says anything?

Also if you try to force the tile to be repainted, eg by selecting text in the tile, does that fix it? Or only scrolling off screen and on again?

Redirect a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user to the triage owner.

Hmm, I have seen this myself once, but it was impossible for me to reproduce. I'll leave open as an S3, and if it's widespread enough hopefully we'll find some better STR.
