Steps to reproduce:

I entered a search string to find some contacts

Actual results:

To cancel the search process and to see all available contacts again, I have to delete the search string manuall.y

Expected results:

A button ("X") to clear the search window (like in the Thunbird message quick filter or the tasks search) should be provided.

Thanks Philipp, that's a nice little idea for enhancement.
Message Quick Filter Bar has the perfect UI/behaviour: clear search button (x) only appears after user has entered a search term.
