[Prerequisites]:
- Have the "browser.search.region" pref set to "US".
- Have the "browser.urlbar.merino.endpointURL" set to "https://stage.merino.nonprod.cloudops.mozgcp.net/api/v1/suggest".
- Have the "browser.urlbar.merino.providers" set to "adm,wikipedia".
- Have the "browser.urlbar.quicksuggest.dataCollection.enabled" set to "true".
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Open the Nightly browser with the profile from prerequisites.
- Type "fifa world cup" in the Awesomebar.
- Click on the Fifa World Cup Wikipedia suggestion from the last position.
- Navigate to about:telemetry and search for "contextual.services.quicksuggest.click_nonsponsored" keyed scalar.
[Expected result]:
- The "contextual.services.quicksuggest.click_nonsponsored" keyed scalar is not registered since the result was from Dynamic Wikipedia.
[Actual result]:
- The "contextual.services.quicksuggest.click_nonsponsored" is also registered.
[Notes]:
- This issue is also reproducible for impression keyed scalar.
- The impression/click dynamic_wikipedia telemetry is correctly registered.
- Attached is a recording of the issue.
