STR:
- Select a message in the message list
- Enter a charater into the quick filter bar
- Enter another character into the quick filter bar
- Remove a character from the quick filter bar
Actual:
Thunderbird loses the selection after step 2, 3 and 4 and scrolls to the top of the message list after every change.
Expected:
Thunderbird keeps the selection after step 2, 3 and 4. Even after entering something with no results the current message should still be selected once you change content of the input field so that the selected message is part of the result again.
Also, no scrolling to the top of the message list, the selected message should always be visible (as long as it's a result of the quick filter input).
Tested in Thunderbird Daily 112.0a1 (2023-03-05) on macOS 13.2.1.
