  • Firefox RC-build 2 112.0 Build ID: 20230406114409

[Affected Platforms]:

  • Windows 10 x64
  • macOS 12.4
  • Linux Ubuntu 20.04 x64

[Prerequisites]:

  • Have the “fr” Firefox build installed.
  • Have the nimbus.debug pref set to true.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Open the browser from the prerequisites.
  2. Copy and paste the following link in a new tab:
    about:studies?optin_slug=awesome-bar-result-menu-rollout-phase-1&optin_branch=control-rollout&optin_collection=nimbus-preview
  3. Restart the browser.
  4. Open a new tab and perform a search using the Address Bar.
  5. Close the tab and open a new one.
  6. Type the string used at sep 3.
  7. Hover the history search result and click the Results menu.
  8. Click the “En savoir plus” (“Learn more”) option.
  9. Observe the SUMO page.

[Expected result]:

  • The SUMO page contains up to date information.

[Actual result]:

  • The SUMO page does not contain up to date information: the images and instructions from the article show a deprecated UI of the Firefox Suggest section).

[Notes]:

  • The up to date images and instructions can be seen in the US version of the article.
  • This issue is not reproducible on other builds such as “en-US”, “ar”, “de”, “ru”, “hi-IN”.
  • Attached is a screenshot of the issue.
