User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/112.0

Steps to reproduce:

I'm running Fedora Silverblue, after updating, Firefox does not always start correctly when being launched from Gnome-shell. If I run flatpak run org.mozilla.firefox, it works fine.

Actual results:

Firefox starts, but it doesn't render at all. I see the window, but it flickers and it doesn't render Firefox at all (see screenshots). Launching it from the terminal, it works fine however. It seems a mesa issue, but I'm not that well knowledge about this.

Expected results:

Firefox should render correctly when being started from the desktop.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

May be a dupe of Bug 1827429. It was added to firefox-112.0-3 fedora build. I expect flatpak build needs this update too.

Blocks: flatpak

I think this bug can be closed, I've upgraded to Fedora 38 and latest release, the issue seems to be gone. :)

Thanks for the info.
