Microsoft introduced a new API to open Default Apps dialog on Windows 11 2023-04 Cumulative Update. This will improve the fallback experience when "one-click default" does not work.

example URLs:
ms-settings:defaultapps?registeredAppUser=Firefox-308046B0AF4A39CB
ms-settings:defaultapps?registeredAppMachine=Firefox-308046B0AF4A39CB

The above URLs work with Windows 11 even without Apr 2023 Cumulative Update. The extra parameters will be ignored and the top of Default Apps setting will open.

Done. Sorry to let it linger so long, I was out at the end of last week unexpectedly.
