+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1836741 +++
In addition to the API client to be built in bug 1836741, we'll need to build something similar for the ads API that we'll be calling separately.
Like the product info API, this should live in /toolkit/components/shopping, and should not return anything unless the nimbus feature (bug 1836265) is enabled, and the user has opted in (bug 1836740).
The API notes doc should help with doing this.

This was resolved by the first patch (D180978 / https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/675fc641f30a) for bug 1836741
