Steps to reproduce:

I turned on sync for settings on all my logged firefox installs and changed multiple firefox settings on one install and hoped it would transfer to all others firefox installs where Im logged in. even tried to click sync on all of them and waited quite some time between retrying to sync again

Actual results:

no setting was synced at all

Expected results:

I expected that all settings would sync 1 to 1 with all my firefox installs as the sync feature has sync also for settings.

settings of extensions also wont get synced
in particular I set all my extensions to also run in private browsing ant this didnt sync as well

There are many settings which aren't synced, and these are tracked in bug 1269548. In particular, not syncing addons "use in private browsing" mode is tracked in 1676519.
