User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021207 Phoenix/0.5
If you try and download something (eg. 'Visual Boy Advance 1.3, currently on the
mainpage), the site reports an error message about not allowing popups.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.vg-network.com/
2. Try and download anything. (The 'Visual Boy Advance 1.3' link is a good one,
on the main page.)
3. Wait for a few seconds while it runs a test.
Actual Results:
Error message:
"We've determined you're using popup blocking software.
This site is provided free of charge due to our sponsors and their ads. By
blocking ads, you limit our ability to provide a free site. Therefore, if you
choose to block our ads, you'll be unable to view certain pages. If you wish to
view this site, turn off your ad blocking software, close ALL browser windows to
reset, and try again. (error: 3.1)
If you believe you've received this message in error, please go back and try again."
Expected Results:
What would be nice is if Phoenix (or really, Mozilla too) allowed the ability to
'simulate' loading a popup. It could do all of the requisite http gets, etc,
but just not actually display the popup.
