Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130

I read a pdf-attacment in the so called preview window. Works fine. Then I read
a normal message in the preview window. International (8-bit) characters look
weird, the words "glögi" and "täysin" turn into "glögi" and "täysin",
respectively. This does not happend if I open the pdf-file in a new window.

The message in question can be viewed correctly by choosing View/Character
Coding/Unicode (UTF-8). However, this has to be repeated for every message and
is therefore out of the question.

News-messages show the same behaviour.

The problem goes away if I close and then restart messanger. I do not have to
close down the mozilla browser windows.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. View message with pdf-attachment
2 [review]. Double-click the attachment icon
3. The pdf-file is displayed in the preview window
4. View another message containing normal text

Actual Results:
So-called international characters are now garbled

Expected Results:
So-called international characters should display correctly (the way they did
before I viewed the pdf-attachment)

This problem was present in 1.0.1 also. Sorry for not reporting it earlier.
