User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 "Cool" feature request Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: It (Mozilla, specifically security manager) should do what I want Actual Results: Does what the website wants Expected Results: Should do what I want, because I am more important. While it's great that certain sites set their username and password fields to non-remembered, this is perhaps an artifact when any user could use IE and get password autocomplete. However, we live in the days of Mozilla (bow) and the Password Manager with its strong crypto (drool). If "encrypted info" is enabled, there reqally should be an option to ignore autocomplete=off "requests": basically treat them as requests and not as strict rules. anyway, if I'm really worried about it, i can always choose "never for this site". ***===>Would love other users' feedback on this.
This bug is related to bug 183804, as in bug 183804 seems to "implement" the feature I want! ;)
