Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030203 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030203 The stop button causes the blanking of the window. Should probably leave the previous page intact. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to http://slashdot.org 2. click on "more" link 3. stop while loading Actual Results: window blanks Expected Results: leave previous page intact
The clearing occurs on stop only in the case stop is pressed after location string changes but before the new page begins rendering. Maybe the update of the location string could be delayed until the start of the new page rendering.
Severity: normal → enhancement
On very fast broadband using 1.6 in SuSE 8.2 I was able to repro this exactly once in over a dozen tries.
