User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030208 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030208 When you install Mozilla, it automatically puts an icon for itself on the desktop. I don't want icons on my desktop, so I then have to delete the icon and empty the recycle bin every time I install a new build. Installers should always ask the user before putting things on the desktop, IMO--in my experience, icons put on the desktop without asking are usually a marker for annoying software that doesn't care about the user. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Mozilla Actual Results: An unwanted icon appears on my desktop. Expected Results: Installer asks me first whether I want the icon (i.e. via a checkbox like the Quick Launch option).
This is a valid RFE. UNCO -> NEW I agree. Not only does the installer add a desktop icon, but also an icon to the Windows Quick Launch bar. This should also be optional.
