Occassionally while typing a URL into the URL bar, the text gets entered
backwards. For example, if I were to close my eyes and type "www.yahoo.com", I
would find that what was actually entered into the URL bar was "moc.oohay.www".
I have been unable to reproduce this consistently, however, it does seem to
occur more frequently under the following conditions:
1. open a new blank tab, "A"
2. open another blank tab, "B"
3. switch to tab "A" and start loading a page with a complex java applet
4. switch back to tab "B" and enter some text into the URL bar
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
Actual Results:
The text entered appears backward
Expected Results:
Shown the text correctly

This still happens in Mozilla 1.4. I've been unable to reproduce it, but when it
happened I also had multiple tabs open and a java applet running.

This always happens at netbanking.at. The page is not shown, typing order
becomes reversed, with invisible caret, and usually, Mozilla crashes soon.

I see this bug when a signed applet on the page has opened a new connection to
download additional files to the local file system.

I've personally seen this on Windows, but never on Un*x. The common factor is
that the user is trying to enter text (whether in the URL bar or in a form) in
one tab while another is still rendering. I will see if I can find a way to
reproduce this consistently.
duping to bug with better diz
