This is an enhancement request.
I use multiple personal email addresses, and they are consolidated into a
personal email box. This lets me see work email, personal email, mailing list
email, etc., all in one inbox.
However, when I reply to a message, I must manually select the appropriate
address for the From: field (e.g., work@..., personal@..., etc.). If I don't
manually select my From: address, I end up bouncing emails to list servers,
getting multiple copies of future emails as they get sent to multiple addresses,
etc.
Ideally, when I reply to a message, Mozilla would check the "To:" and "CC:" and
possibly "Envelope-to:" headers of the original message to find which of my
email addresses the original was sent. That is, if I received a message:
To: somebody
CC: myworkaddress@...
Mozilla would recognize that myworkaddress@... is one of my configured accounts,
and use that as the "From:" field instead of the default.
If no alternate address is recognized, it should fall back to the current
behavior of using the default address from the current account.
Reproducible: Always
