User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030210 Opening some JPG files results in a blank window, no error message. The offending files generate an "unsupported format" error in Imaging for Windows; they display fine in Internet Explorer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a file STS088-738-42_3.JPG from http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/sseop/sql.htm (you have to "request" a high-resolution file, 1.5MB). Save it locally. 2. Open the file in Mozilla. 3. Actual Results: A blank window results, no error message given. Expected Results: Display the image, or at least complain. I can provide you with my copy of two offending files (1.5MB, 2.5MB).
I tried this and had no problems. The image I requested is ftp://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/LargeImagesTemp/ESC_large_ISS001_ISS001-E-6230.JPG Are yours still up on the ftp site? ftp://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/LargeImagesTemp which ones.
Not every file causes a problem. Try STS088-738-42_3.JPG. The FTP directory gets cleared daily at about 9pm PST.
confirmed this is a dup of 9922 I first loaded it with a debug mozilla and got "image is too wide error". I then resized it so instead of being > 4000 pixels wide it was only 3800 and it loaded fine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 9922 ***
