User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030221 Phoenix/0.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030221 Phoenix/0.5
When browsing the forums at http://www.gatorcountry.com, the browser crashes at
unexpected times and without doing anything in particular. Typically, it
happens when reading threads which go on for more than one page, but not always.
I can also reproduce the bug with Mozilla, and have sent in that bug report
over Talkback. I have reproduced the bug with older build of Phoenix, including
the 0.5 milestone.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to http://www.gatorcountry.com
2.Spend a few minutes browsing
3.Navigate between threads of multiple pages
Actual Results:
Complete browser crash
Expected Results:
Stay up!
Stack trace attached
Can confirm the crash using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.3b)
Gecko/20030224.
Hence will move this bug over to Mozilla. Created an additional Talkback ID, but
till now the ID hasn't been sent back. Will add the ID as soon as it's available.
Perhaps the problem is related to the Ahead-bug? (See bug #178839)
Sean: do you still have the ID's generated by TalkBack? If you don't know how to
get them, contact me via mail so I can tell you!
Component: General → Browser-General
Keywords: crash
Product: Phoenix → Browser
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Additional steps to double the problem:
- goto http://www.gatorcountry.com
- click the link 'Swamp Gas Forums' on the left side within the Main Menu
- click a little bit around e.g. enter a forum
For the first try Mozilla crashed while clicking the link to the forums, for the
second try it crashed while clicking a link to a specific forum...
Did some further testing on this - the crash happens every now and then -
another TB-ID is TB17477215H. Perhaps this also deals with bug #194584, but that
fix should be already in...
Per Erik, he was not able to reproduce under the latest versions where
Bug#194584 has been fixed. I cannot confirm - I just reproduced it using
Phoenix 20030223, both when using an old Profile as well as a new Profile. New
stack trace is attached.
