removeformat doesn't strip style attributes inside tags; it only removes certain formatting tags entirely (such as <span>, <big>, <i>, etc.). Thus styles applied to anchors, lists, and other HTML tags are not removed and have to be stripped out manually. This is especially a problem when using Midas in useCSS mode, since this mode relies on using style attributes rather than explicit formatting tags.
