yes, looks like a dup. However, i just tested the feature against directory.verisign.com and it is not implemented (well, bug isn't closed yet so this is not very surprising but there seems to be no current work as well). But my feature request might go a little beyond bug 149013: usually, you would use your Mozilla address book and/or a companies LDAP directory to search for email addresses. But you don't have the possibility yet to search against a second or third LDAP directory for email addresses, and maybe only to search for the certificate of a user which is already in your address book. I wouldn't use VeriSign's directory to search for email addresses in general but would perfer my companies directory with all the employees and known partners - but if you need to find a certificate of any other given email address VeriSign is one good place to search for. So now there are already two LDAP directories plus my Mozilla address book.

It might be a bit tricky to figure how to do UI for this that wasn't extremely byzantine. Perhaps it would be a prefs.js-only thing.
