I can change bookmarks temporarily but after relaunch, bookmarks return to original version

I can edit the bookmarks temporarily while Mozilla is launched. When I quit and
relaunch, the original bookmarks reappear, all previous change are lost.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Mozilla, edit bookmarks
2. Quit
3. Relaunch. Original reappears, edits are lost.

Are you sure that you have write permissions for the bookmarks file ?

This is a dupe of bug 192124 and has been fixed in recent builds. If possible,
please test with a nightly build before filing a bug.
