I'd like it if mozilla was able to remember how many tabs I have open, and what
URLS are in each - much like my XSession is remembered, and my programming IDE
remembers the files I have open.
This would be a great convenience - every time I opened Mozilla, I would get 5
or 6 tabs created - one loading slashdot, one loading my source forge project,
one loading my web-mail site, etc.
It should also be coded in such a way that it is optional functionality, and
that you can have it save the settings either a) never; b) when you explicitely
tell it to; or c) every time you close mozilla
Mozilla shouldn't have to remember the "backward"/"foreward" history of each
tab, just the last URL.
Does this functionality exist, and I'm just unaware of it?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Look for this feature,
Actual Results:
can't find this feature existing.
With the latest builds you can set your default homepage to use the current group.
Check on the main Preferences option. This would probably have to be reset if
you constantly change this, but it solved half of your request.
Summary: Mozilla should be able to remember "tabbed browsing session" → Mozilla should be able to remember "tabbed browsing session"

Hmm. I'm going to mark this as a dupe of bug 159357 which seems to be the
closest to what's requested here. (Although it's hard to tell because there
appear to be several requests in this one bug.)
Feel free to reopen, if that, along with the existing ability to set a group of
tabs as your home page, isn't what you'd meant. If it is, you can verify the
resolution.
