Trunk build 2003-03-10: Mac 10.1.5 (Can't try on windows due to bug# 196755) Overview: Create a custom view and after closing the "Customize Message Views" dialog the Views dropdown has the new view selected but the results in the thread pane do not reflect the new view. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set the Views drop down to "All" 2. Create a new view by selecting the Customize option (i.e. Family) 3. Close the "Customize Message Views" dialog 4. The drop down has the new view selected (i.e. Family) Actual Results: but the results in the thread pane have not changed. I have to select a different view, then go back to the newly created view to see its effects. Expected Results: The results of the selected view should automatically appear in the thread pane. (i.e. With Family selected it should only display messages from my family members)
Marking nsbeta1. The selected view results should be reflected immediately in the thread pane to avoid confusion and it is what the user will expect.

This bug is a regression, because 1.3 Final *does* update the view immediately after defining it.

When I posted comment 3, I *believe* I had reproduced it on a current 1.4b in Windows 2000. (I would have updated OS/Platform, but I didn't have editbugs then.) I cannot currently reproduce the bug with 1.4b-0527 on Win2K. Is this WFM for Mac OSX, too?

Setting platform all/all based on dupe. Setting resolution to WFM because this is working for me, under Win2K, and nobody with a Mac has had anything to say about it since I posted comment 5 almost a year ago. If I'm wrong, please reopen and reset the platform.
