User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030318 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030318 Suggesting/asking that more features for the right click are added in the mail window. The purpose of this suggestion is to provide more control over mail that exists in a folder and also provide a way to delete dangerous email in a fairly quick fashion without having to render it at all. I initially chose "Minor" status as it is important to handle dangerous email safely, but there is a work-around that involved going through menus at the top to disable message rendering, delete message, and enable message rendering again. This is a bulky process. 1> Right click Junk Mail Folder could have the option to "Purge Folder" and "Send to Trash" that way you can purge the folder without filling the trash and that will perform a permanent delete right then and there. "Delete Folder Contents to Trash" would give you the ability to go back from that action if you are prone to mistakes when deleting email otherwise you have the ability to totally get rid of the junkmail. 2> Right click a message in the message list view needs an option to get the raw view of the message which will show everything about the message in plain text. This will make it easy to retreive full headers as well as see how a problem message was encoded. 3> After manually marking specific messages as junkmail a right click on the folder could give the option to run the junkmail filters on the folder and have it move the junkmail from that folder into the junkmail folder. This also goes with #1 in that you can mark messages at "Junk Mail" with a flag without having to see the message. I would like to be able to mark specific messages as junkmail (even ones that I may consider to be a virus based on subject matter and attachment status) without having the message load. (a lot of email born virii infect because the window was rendered and a buffer was overflowed because of it) Then I would want to right click the folder those messages are in and choose an option that automatically refilters the folder so that all junkmail gets moved to the junkmail folder. With option #2 then any dangerous or offensive material can be deleted without ever having to render it. The process I have suggested may not be the most simple for the goal of dealing with dangerous email. It does however give you a lot more control over your mail. I like Mozilla's mail client. I wish for more configurable control over how it does some things though. Thank you for your time and consideration. It is much appreciated. Your feedback positive or negative will be taken in stride and valued as well. If you feel this is long, I do appologize. I want to be very clear so I can avoid all the spam from misunderstandings that could have been handled with a few extra words. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Correction: "With option #2 then any..." should be Along ith option #1 then any dangerous or offensive material can be deleted without ever having to render it. Another workaround for "Delete Folder Contents to Trash" for the Junkmail folder is to hit ctrl+a while in the folder to select all messages without rendering them and hit the delete key. I appologize that I overlooked that ability.
Both the bug-report and severity here is invalid: It isn't a bug but an RFE, and it isn't ONE report but several issues. Please aquaint yourself with the bug-reporting guidelines and search bugzilla before submitting anything at all. 1: dup of bug 189911 2: Done by "View source" per today, a context meny for it is dup of bug 135232. Also a dup of bug 112710..
Resolving as dup of general bug 179162 There are several other bugs that seem to match your third request. It may even be a duplicate of bug 188782. Please read that and see if it is of help. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 179162 ***

I am sorry. I thought I had understood and that these were pretty much related to eachother. I did try searching bugzilla for the other bugs but did not come up with the right syntax to see them.
