User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021029 Phoenix/0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021029 Phoenix/0.4 Whenever my PC crashes/gets hard reset, Phoenix becomes convinced my profile is in use and I have to manually go in and delete the lockfile. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Phoenix 2. Hit reset 3. Start Phoenix Expected Results: I'd like a "delete lockfile" button, or for Phoenix to keep a track of all active PIDs in the lockfile (somehow), and make sure none are running, and automatically delete the lockfile, or something. It'd save me having to fire up a console and manually remove the file. I'm using Debian GNU/Linux, with an old version of Phoenix (I know, I just haven't got around to the upgrade yet), but I'm pretty sure this hasn't been implemented in the newer version. If it has, sorry. :)
An UI for removing the lockfile in case of crash is very unlikely to happen. It'd be Linux-only, too. That said, you shouldn't report a bug with a build almost 5 months old. Lots of things have changed since. David, are you experiencing the same problem when Px crashes?
OS: All → Linux
Why would it be Linux only? Would that be related to how I can't get my Phoenix (build 20030211) on Win2000 to *ever* think it's locked, even if I make sure the lockfile is there?
The lockfile feature was an attemt to avoid running the same profile for two instances at the same time. That is not likely to happen on Windows, since phoenix.exe automatically detects if Phoenix is already running. This is most probably WONTFIX, and it's also not Phoenix-specific.

PLease _never_ forget tho reassign to the default owner if you change the component. Mozilla should detect that the lock file is from an old session. A lockfile remove button is wontfix btw: The lockfile is also present on Windows (parent.lock) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151188 ***
