Upon switching from release 1.3 (and prior builds) to latest 2003032103, I noticed that form buttons, text input fields, select options, and image alt text are now much larger than they used to be. It looks like Lucida Grande 14. Long ago I changed my default font to Trebuchet and default size to 13 (in both Western and Unicode), so it's quite startlingly large. about:config reveals no preference option to change this behavior. What happened?

This irks me too. Is it a screen resolution issue?

Alt text is now normal, but form controls are still large as ever.

Well, the duplicate bug actually has some useful information (unlike this one). I highly recommend giving it a read (and either copying the information or dupping in the right direction -- towards the bug with more information).
