For example, if the "Unread" view is selected, and I read a message, that message remains in the view, even though it is no longer "unread". That is expected, but there should be a way to refresh the view to re-filter the messages. I suggest a "Refresh" option on the View menu, with F5 as the shortcut key (on Windows at least). This would behave similarly to the Windows Explorer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Workaround: select a different folder, then select original folder again. The folder's view filter is re-applied.

I suppose "refilter" is a better word, to avoid confusion with refreshing the list of messages from the server. It would also be nice to have a button on the mailviews bar to do it.

With the checkin for bug 362741, this should be fixed now. Just select an already applied view again for refresh.
