Cannot access POP Mail after Moz open 6-8 hours, no error messages are seen,
just no response to "get new messages " commands.
functionality resumes after restarting Moz
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Mozilla and leave open 6-8 hours. Internet (ADSL) connected at first 2
hours but then turned off for the night.
2.After 6-8 hours, reconnect to internet ( ADSL) and attempt to download mail.
3. No response - no error messages, no "no new messages on server" message,
4. Attempt using CTRL+T, and File >Get NEw Messages
5. Restart Moz and all functionality resumes
Actual Results:
Moz Mail works after restarting.
Expected Results:
Download new mail or receive "no new messages on server" message
I am connected at home through a single WIN 2000 PC w/ 256 MB RAM AMD 950MHz
CPU, direct ADSL connection at 512Kbps. NOT on a network.

Bug persists in version 1.4 beta, time span needed before Moz stops downloading
email messages is now shorter - 2-3 hours.
Summary: No new mail notification or download after Moz open 6-8 hours → No new mail notification or download after Moz open 6-8 hours

The symptoms mentioned sound similar to bug 127461, a fix for which got into
1.8a4. See bug 127461, comment 34 for instructions on determining if you are
experiencing that bug. Or just give 1.8a4 a try to see if your problem still
occurs. Please report any results.

I don't think that this is identical to bug 127461,
I never use the Quick Launch feature, and a Netstat check shows the connection
is open.
I am presently using Moz 1.7.3, and have not experienced the bug in recent weeks.
I have not tried the Moz 1.8 line yet

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
