Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030405 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030405 When opening an attachment with an unknown mime type, there's a dialog box to specify a helper application. However, the dialog box requires the full pathname to an executable. It would be much less cumbersome if it could lookup the executable in my PATH. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an email with an attachment without a known helper 2. Double click the attachment. 3. There will be a dialog, "The file "foo.bar" is of type mime/type and Mozilla does not know how to handle this file type... What should Mozilla do with this file? 4. Check "Open it with" 5. Type in the name of a program, e.g. kwrite (if you have KDE installed) Actual Results: Error message: "The application you specified ("kwrite") could not be found. Check the file name or select another application. I have to enter the full path to the application in the dial (in my case "/usr/kde/3.1/bin/kwrite") to make it work. Expected Results: Launched kwrite, which is a directory in my PATH variable.
