Please refer to bug#10833 for more detail.

I used migrated profile with some folders in Trash Folder, it did not delete
sunfolders from the Trash folder after I select the Empty Trash.

I found the problem and I have a fix for it. Reassign to myself.

Verified on Linux 12-08-08-M12 commercial build.
The subfolders have been removed from the Trash folder after activating "Empty
Trash"....will check Windows & Mac later

To reiterate, this is for IMAP only. POP empty trash not implemented.
