Just so everyone knows, I have an "almost" fully completed BeOS port based on BMessages for this. It is a LOT simpler than either of the Unix or Windows variants. I just need to finish off the daemon, and do some testing.

Like I said, BeOS will NOT be using the Unix socket implementation for IPC. So, we don't need to worry about failures in the build for any of the ipc*Unix.* files.
