Using trunk builds 20030502 on winxp, macosx and linux if the user creates a Junk folder (or has one automatically created when using specific IMAP accounts) junk mail in that folder does not purge. 1. Launch app, create a mail account (IMAP or POP), create a Junk Folder in Local Folders and set up Junk Mail control to automatically move Junk mail to the Local Junk folder. 2. Send Junk mail to your mail account, get msg and let it analyze and move. 3. View your Local Junk folder (IMAP move Junk will need to be reset to Junk until bug 204515 is fixed) to see the Junk mail. 4. Watch to see if the junk mail is purged at the interval time. result: mail is not purged expected: Mail to purge at interval

nominating, since certain types of mail accounts default to Junk on Local Folders for automatic moving of junk. Purge should work on that folder. Note, bug 204515 will not keep the junk status of these messages when move, until that is fixed to test this you need to manually mark the messages as junk after they arrive.

Note, since I've sent this prefs.js file to you I have edited it to change the purge values to 10 for delay and 2 for interval so I could expect purge sooner than default. I have messages in the Local Junk folder dated from 1-22-2002 up to today. Waited 1 hr after launching & logging in with these new values and still no purge. I also manually put the status as Junk for the ones that lost that value during the move.
